Top 8 Most Fun Anime’s To Watch

 

Lucky for all us weebs there are an almost endless number of anime to watch in 2021. 

 

Whether you want laughter, action, romance, or drama, you can find it ALL on just about any streaming service.

Its pretty easy to find exactly what you’re looking for too.  Just search by “genre” and you can pull up all the fan favorites with ease.

 

But sometimes you don’t want to have to put in the work to search.  You’re not exactly SURE what you want, but you know you just need to relax.

 

So let me take the search off your plate for you.  I’m going to list the MOST FUN anime I have seen.  You’ll find that most will be a mix of all the popular genre, but above all else, they’re just plain fun to watch.  They’ll be sure to give you that lighthearted and relaxed feeling we all need.

 

8. Highschool DXD

Anyone who watches anime regularly has at least heard of highschool DXD.

It’s essentially an action- anime with tons of “plot”.

And I obviously mean titties.

 

It gets torn apart a lot by “SJW’s” because of all the attention to boobies and the ecchi element, but who cares.  That’s anime for you.  It’s suppose to be weird.

 

It’s loads of fun to watch and I guarantee you will laugh your ass off at some of the parts. 

Rias Gremory, the Redhead on the cover photo, is one of the strongest demon princesses of all time.  The anime follows her and her group of followers, using magic and awesome fight scenes to take out the bad guys.

The main male character isn’t necessarily strong at first.  BUTTTTTTT…

When he thinks about Rias’ boobies he gets superpowered lmfao.

It’s so dumb and funny, I guarantee you will have a good time watching this.

 

7. Keijo!

 Iv’e talked about this anime in a previous blog post, but it deserves way more attention.

Do you like sports anime like Haikyu?

 

If you do and you’re looking for something along the same lines but ABSURD, this is for you.

 

It has the same “feel” as a sports anime in terms of character growth and team comradery.

Except the sport is about girls who have to use their chests and butts to knock each other into the water.

The weirdest part of this anime is that although the plot is ridiculous, it’s actually incredibly entertaining to watch.  There is a certain “seriousness” to the characters in the show which is SO FUNNY because as a viewer… it’s not very serious.

For instance, one of the strongest “moves” in the anime is called VAACUM BUTT CANNON.  And it’s exactly what it sounds like.

 

6. ORESUKI Are you the only one who loves me?

 

I DIED watching this one.  It was so darn funny it literally left me breathless a few times.  I found it while searching for romance anime.  I was on a kick after watching Toradora and Orange back to back.

Luckily I found something I never knew I needed at the time.

While it IS a romance anime in a lot of ways, it is much more about comedy. The main character sets off on his journey to BECOME the protagonist of a romance anime.

The way the character thinks in his head and his actions on screen are polar opposites.  The anime switches back and forth between what it shows you.

Basically he acts like a goodie two shoes to try and pick up girls, but in his head he is vindictive and “evil” in some ways.

The absolute best part of this anime is Bench-Kun.  I really don’t want to ruin this because it will take away from the laughter, but what happens is this.

Randomly throughout the anime a “bench” will appear.  Almost always in spots that a bench would not be in real life.

This is a sign that bad news is about to happen to the main character.  And it is ALWAYS hilarious.  Trust me.

 

 

5. Masamune Kun’s Revenge

 

Another Rom-Com!  But again, way more ‘rom’ than ‘com’.

Rather than a standard romance, this anime is way more about revenge. It follows Masamune, a chubby boy turned hot after puberty.

All the girls love him and he knows it.

While starting high school he sees his friend from childhood whom he had a crush on. She’s gorgeous and also kind of bitchy (every guys dream right).

He then concocts this elaborate plan to get her to fall in love with him so that he can SMASH HER HEART INTO A MILLION PIECES.

 

4. Konosuba

There’s not a whole lot not to love about Konosuba.

It’s an “mmo” style anime BUT every character is as competent as Leroy Jenkins.

You have a mage that can only cast 1 spell a day, a Knight that can’t use a sword, and a goddess who sucks at everything she does.

 

Yet somehow, they always manage to save the day.

This anime brought me a ton of laughs. All of the characters and even the villains have hilarious personalities.  I don’t think this one needs any more explaining.

If you love adventure but you need a break from bloody and gory fighting anime’s, definitely give this a watch.

 

3. The Devil Is A Part Timer

Ever wonder what it would be like if the Devil suddenly had to work at McDonald’s?  Me neither.

 

But this anime answers that question for you anyway!

The devil gets bored of constantly having to run hell.  After years and years of tormenting people and always having to be the bad guy, he wants to try living a normal life.

 

So what does he do? Gets a minimum wage job flipping burgers.

The anime is full of laughter, love and ridiculousness as the devil tries to fit in with every day society. 

 

2. Senran Kagura

Okay so don’t judge me.  But this was one of the first non-mainstream anime’s that I watched.

You may have heard of the video game before the anime itself.  Here’s the objective:

 

It’s basically dynasty warriors, except its all females and instead of “killing” the enemies, you have to beat them up enough to make their clothes fall off. LMFAO

 

It is so stupid yet somehow mind numbingly addictive.  And the mechanics are actually phenomenal.

 

The anime isn’t too far off from that either.  The girls in the show are kind of like ninjas.  Only they have minimal clothes.

I know it sounds a bit ridiculous and “toxic masculinity” blah blah blah…

 

But relax.  It’s supposed to be stupid and fun.  And it certainly does just that. 

 

And honestly some of the fight scenes are amongst the coolest I have seen.  It is a very weird mix of “fan service” but also wicked awesome action.

 

If you’re unsure about it, just give it like two or 3 episodes to make a decision.  I bet you’ll find it more entertaining than you expected.

 

1. Food Wars!

 

I don’t think this one needs a whole lot of explanation. It’s incredibly popular and with good reason.

Picture trying to write a “serious” action anime, only it has to be on the Food Network.

 

It’s like the anime version of Hell’s kitchen, with “Gordon Ramsay” level of intensity.  The undertones and witty humor make this anime a gem.  Out of everything in this list, I recommend this one above all else if you don’t have the time.  I promise you will laugh your ass off.
